About

Marlène Grand is a visual artist.
She was born in France in 1995 and lives and work in Vevey in Switzerland. She obtained an post-graduate diploma in photography at the photography School in Vevey (CEPV) in 2022.
Since then, she has done three residencies abroad, in Portugal, in France, and in Italy. These immersive experiences have enabled her to enhance his practice.

Her work revolves around the medium of the image. Paying close attention to the space around her, she harvests material, either natural or from industrial waste furniture, to use as a tool in her creative process. With an instinctive and experimental approach, Grand plays with the medium of the image, exploring mixed media such as analog and digital practice, painting and sculpture.
Her intention is to demonstrate a certain sensitivity to the living world based on notions of matter and place and temporality and imprint, while questioning our relationship with the tangible and the visible with an abstract and figurative aesthetic.

She is a member of Espace Indiana, a cultural space dedicated to the visual arts in Vevey where she also had his atelier, and she recently a new member of Near. community for contemporary photography.

Also, She used her own label Subtile, to publish her graphic and editorial work like fanzines, photobooks, or prints.
